ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Marjorie Turner Hollman is a personal historian who loves the outdoors, and is the author of Easy Walks in Massachusetts, 2nd edition More Easy Walks in Massachusetts, and editor of Easy Walks and Paddles in the Ten Mile River Watershed. She has been a freelance writer for numerous local, regional and national publications for the past 20 years, and has recorded multiple veteran's oral histories, now housed at the Library of Congress. For more information about Marjorie and her books visit  David G. Hanrahan was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1936. He graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design in 1958. He received the Organization of the Army medal and was designated a Distinguished Military Graduate. While in the Army, Hanrahan graduated from the Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia and the Jungle Warfare School in Fort Sherman, Panama Canal Zone. In 1962, while stationed in the Panama Canal Zone, he was honored by the people of a small Panamanian town for helping them achieve their dream of a new school. The inauguration of the "Lieutenant David G. Hanrahan School.- Amistad -Panama -Estados Unidos" was attended by the President of Panama, the American Ambassador to Panama and the senior army staff.  After 5 years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Captain, he attended Boston University Law School where he received his Juris Doctor Degree in 1966. Hanrahan, a distinguished trial attorney, is a member of the Boston and Massachusetts Bar Associations and is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and for the last 15 years has sung lead in a barbershop quartet “Spindrift." Now, writing suspenseful and riveting courtroom novels occupies an important part of his life. John Murzycki has crafted messages for organizations ranging from international brands to technology startups. That is until he decided the time had finally come to pen a story he could call his own. After leaving a job as a high-tech marketing and sales manager, he concentrated on his true love of writing fiction. He published his debut novel, Elthea’s Realm in 2017 and Elthea’s Gambit in 2018. All funds raised on the night will go to Arash Bayatmakou and his continued recovery from spinal cord injury. Joey Avery: After starting his career in Cape Town, South Africa Joey Avery received the Jimmy Gunn award for Best Newcomer to the Bay Area comedy scene and was recently listed in SF Chronicle as one of the Bay Area Comic's to catch. He has appeared on Fox and AJ+ as well as in the San Francisco Sketchfest Comedy Festival and the San Diego Sun God Music and Arts Festival. He currently produces content for Chubbies Entertainment and is a regular guest on Uproxx's Film Drunk Frotcast. Joe Nguyen: Subtle but sharp, laid-back yet engaging, Joe Nguyen is the smart slacker beloved by audiences for his easygoing delivery and good writing. The 2018 ILPA Landscape Photography Summit The International Landscape Photographers' Association's Landscape Photography Summit is a unique event.  This is the 3rd Annual ILPA Landscape Photography Summit and the Summit is based again in the beautiful mountain town of Banff, in Banff National Park.  Banff is one of the premiere landscape photography destinations in the World! Addition photography excrusions during the Summit (available to Full Summit Pass holders only*): Sunrise excursion:      As landscape photographers we all know that the best way to increase our chances of getting the best photographs is to get out there shooting on multiple occasions.  You just never know when the weather will be just right for that perfect shot.  So, to increase the chances for you to get that perfect photograph we've added a another sunrise photography photo excursion to the Summit cirricullum on Saturday morning.  Night Sky excursion:      We also know that Banff National Park is an ideal location for night sky photography.  To that end we've added 2 night sky photography excursions as well.  One on Friday Night and one on Saturday Night.  We can't gaurantee perfect weather but we will take you out to prime locations given the weather at hand to photograph the night sky.       These excursions are optional and, they are additional to the regular Summit cirricullum.  Only Summit Pass "A" or Summit Pass "B" ticket holders are premitted to purchase tickets to these extra excursions.  If you missed out on buying one of the full Summit passes then please contact Brian directly During the Summir weekend to see if there is still room on the excursions.  Tickets for the excursions not sold prior to the start of the Summit will be released to "Presentation Only" Summit pass holders during the weekend, if there are any excursion tickets remaining.  Seating is limited on each excursion.  There are three to choose from: Friday night sky photography 1.5 hour tour (25 seats) Saturday morning Sunrise 1 hour photography tour (25 seats) Saturday night sky photography 1.5 hour tour (25 seats) Special Summit accommodation rates:      Special accommodation rates at the Summit venue, the Voyager Inn and their partner property next door, The Spruce Grove Inn/Canalta Lodge, are available to Summit attendees.  Please contact the Voyager Inn reservations line directly at 403-762-3301 to learn about their special room discounts to ILPA Summit delegates and to book your room.  Be sure to say that you've registered for the ILPA Landscape Photography Summit to receive the ILPA preferred room rates.   *** Be sure to mention when making your reservation that you're coming to the Summit to receive the Special Conference Room Rate. *** * Tickets for the Sunrise/Night Sky excursions not sold prior to the start of the Summit will be released to "Presentation Only" Summit pass holders during the Summit weekend, if there are any excursion tickets remaining.  Seating is limited on each excursion.
